Swann injured; New Zealand bowl

New Zealand gained a potentially significant advantage in their crucial match against England - where a semi-final place is at stake - by winning the toss and bowling. With the threat of rain around batting second is an advantage when Duckworth-Lewis is required.
In a far from ideal morning for England, Graeme Swann has been ruled out of his second match of the tournament - this time with what Alastair Cook reported was a calf injury. He missed the opening match, against Australia, with a back spasm. James Tredwell, who has been very consistent for England, is his replacement.
New Zealand, too, have been forced to make an injury change with Tim Southee ruled out due to an ankle injury. It has led to a rapid call-up for Corey Anderson who was confirmed as an injury replacement for Grant Elliott earlier this morning. Elliott aggravated a calf injury in training yesterday; Anderson, an allrounder, has been travelling with the squad during the tournament and makes his ODI debut.
The basic scenario, presuming a match is completed today, is that if England lose they are out. If New Zealand lose, they are left needing a favour from Australia on Monday.
