Misbah ready to 'Pak' a punch to Dhoni's India!

Leading Pakistan in a Champions Trophy is not an easy task, but Misbah-Ul- Haq knows what it takes to battle the odds. The Pakistan skipper, who turned 39 on Tuesday, feels their game against India will be a big challenge.

Talking to the scribes in their pre-tournament presser, the Pakistan captain, however, made it clear that his boys will give Mahendra SinghDhoni's men a run for their money. "Obviously playing against India is always important because of the interest of people back there in India and Pakistan and also all over the world,"Misbah said. Aware of the fact that taking on Dhoni's men won't be that easy, Misbah pointed out that their target would be to put up a brave show. "For both teams I think it's very important to play well, and every game is important here in this tournament," Misbah said.

The arch-rivals will lock horns at Edgbaston on June 15 and the organisers are expecting a full house. "I think India-Pakistan is always special, especially in England, because there's a huge community from both the countries, so it's really a special match for both the sides," the Pakistan captain agreed.

The batsman who turned 39 on Tuesday isn't ready to hang up his boots just yet. "You can't say anything about that. You never know how long you're going to play, if you're able to play even tomorrow. So I'm not thinking about that. I'm really focused to play well in this tournament and looking forward to really doing well for Pakistan," the skipper said.

For a professional cricketer age is never a barrier, and so it is for Misbah. Ask him about his birthday plans and he says, "just practice."
