India vs West Indies Live Cricket Score, ICC Champions Trophy 2013 match: India begin chase of 234-run target

India 14/0 | Overs 3 | Rohit Sharma 8*, Shikhar Dhawan 5*

Good running from the Indian openers as Dhawan clips the first ball off his pads towards deep square-leg and runs three. Then Rohit drives through the covers and runs two. The last ball finds the outside edges of Rohit's bat, but it goes safely towards third-man for a single.

India 8/0 | Overs 2 | Rohit Sharma 5*, Shikhar Dhawan 2*

Ravi Rampaul shares the new ball with Roach. Dhawan gets off the mark with a single behind point. Only three runs from the over. Rampaul bowling in the corridor of uncertainty.

India 5/0 | Overs 1 | Rohit Sharma 4*, Shikhar Dhawan 0*

Right-arm fast bowler Kemar Roach opens the bowling for the West Indies. Rohit Sharma cuts the fourth ball for a four towards the backward point region. Good over from either end as India off to a good start and Roach bowls some testing deliveries as well.

West Indies 233/9 | Overs 50 | Darren Sammy 56*, Kemar Roach 0*

Jadeja comes into bowl his 10th over. Sammy hits the second ball for a four over Jadeja's head. He then hits a flat six over extra-cover. Then off the last ball of the innings, Sammy hits another four straight down the ground. The partnership was worth 51 runs and Sammy scored all the runs. Sammy struck five fours and four sixes, and to think he was a replacement for the suspended Denesh Ramdin. Jadeja finishes with figures of five for 36.

West Indies 219/9 | Overs 49 | Darren Sammy 42*, Kemar Roach 0*

Ishant comes in to bowl his 10th over. Sammy greets him with a four through the covers off the very first delivery. He then smashes the ball straight down the ground for a massive six. Ishant digs the next ball in, but Sammy top-edges it for a four towards third-man. Sammy then hits another six over wide long-off. Massive over that for the West Indies as 21 runs come from it.

West Indies 198/9 | Overs 48 | Darren Sammy 21*, Kemar Roach 0*

Jadeja finally seems to have bowled an over without a wicket. He still has one over left to try and claim a sixth wicket. All left on the shoulders of Sammy.

West Indies 191/9 | Overs 47 | Darren Sammy 14*, Kemar Roach 0*

Umesh continues and Sammy plays a cross-batted shot over the bowler's head for a much-needed six. A better over for the West Indies as nine runs come from it. The run-rate is still just over four runs an over.

West Indies 182/9 | Overs 46 | Darren Sammy 5*, Kemar Roach 0*, OUT! Ravi Rampaul 2

Jadeja gets his first five-wicket haul as Ravi Rampaul departs. Rampaul tries to slog-sweep across the line, but misses completely and is bowled. That is a wicket-maiden from Jadeja and he still has two overs left.

West Indies 182/8 | Overs 45 | Darren Sammy 5*, Ravi Rampaul 2*

Umesh is brought back into the attack by Dhoni to bowl his eighth over. As the innings has gone by, Umesh has looked better and sharper. Only three runs come from the over. The run-rate is just over four an over.

West Indies 179/8 | Overs 44 | Darren Sammy 4*, Ravi Rampaul 0*, OUT! Sunil Narine 2

Jadeja strikes again as he picks up his fourth wicket. Sunil Narine tries to hit Jadeja for a six but top-edges it and Dinesh Karthik takes a simple catch.

West Indies 173/7 | Overs 43 | Darren Sammy 3*, Sunil Narine 1*, OUT! Kieron Pollard 22

Ishant gets his reward in his ninth over as Pollard hits a lofted drive towards long-on, but does not time it well and gets caught by Bhuvneshwar at the boundary. Dhoni goes in for the kill as he places a slip for new man Sunil Narine. Only two runs from the over, including a wide.

West Indies 171/6 | Overs 42 | Kieron Pollard 22*, Darren Sammy 3*

Jadeja is brought back into the attack. There is an appeal for a run out as Sammy dives towards the non-striker's end, but gets over the line as Jadeja gets a direct hit.

West Indies 168/6 | Overs 41 | Kieron Pollard 21*, Darren Sammy 1*

Ishant bowls a lively over as the wind increase at the Oval. Only three runs of the over as the run-rate is dropping alarmingly. The run-rate is just over four an over.

West Indies 165/6 | Overs 40 | Kieron Pollard 19*, Darren Sammy 0*

Last over of the batting powerplay. Umesh bowls a very lively over giving away only one run. Only 24 runs came off the batting powerplay with the loss of a wicket. This seems to be the last recognised batting pair for the West Indies.

West Indies 164/6 | Overs 39 | Kieron Pollard 18*, Darren Sammy 0*

Ishant continues his spell to bowl his seventh over. The pacer bowls an excellent over giving away only one run. Ishant is running in hard and bowling at a good pace. Just does not have a wicket yet to show for his efforts.

West Indies 163/6 | Overs 38 | Kieron Pollard 17*, Darren Sammy 0*, OUT! Dwayne Bravo 25

Dhoni again brings back Umesh to bowl his sixth over. Considering the match situation, Umesh has been very expensive. Pollard pushes the fifth ball through the covers and gets three runs. Dwayne Bravo then pulls a short delivery straight to Jadeja at deep square-leg.

West Indies 158/5 | Overs 37 | Dwayne Bravo 24*, Kieron Pollard 13*

Ishant comes back into the attack to bowl his sixth over. Tidy over from Ishant as he gives away only four runs. Pollard and Dwayne Bravo just trying to play away the seamer and set themselves up for a late slog.

West Indies 154/5 | Overs 36 | Dwayne Bravo 21*, Kieron Pollard 12*

Batting powerplay has been taken. So, only a maximum of three fielders can be positioned outside the 30-yard circle. Ashwin continues to bowl his ninth over. Pollard smashes the fifth ball over Ashwin's head for a six. He then slog-sweeps the last ball over mid-wicket for another six.

West Indies 141/5 | Overs 35 | Dwayne Bravo 20*, Kieron Pollard 0*

Bhuvneshwar continues to bowl his eighth over. Only one run comes off it as Dwayne Bravo takes a single on the second delivery. Drinks taken. West Indies have a lot to ponder as half their side is back in the dressing room. The run-rate is just over four an over.

West Indies 140/5 | Overs 34 | Dwayne Bravo 19*, Kieron Pollard 0*, OUT! Darren Bravo 35

Ashwin strikes in his eighth over and puts Darren Bravo out of his misery. Darren comes out to work the ball away towards the off side, but Ashwin bowls a slightly slower delivery, which has a little extra spin. The ball evades the bat and the stumps, but Dhoni collects it cleanly and clips the bail and Darren is stumped.

West Indies 140/4 | Overs 33 | Darren Bravo 35*, Dwayne Bravo 19*

Dhoni brings back Bhuvneshwar to bowl his seventh over. Darren Bravo flays a wide delivery towards backward point, but Rohit Sharma gets his right hand at that and saves a certain boundary. Pressure adding on Darren.

West Indies 138/4 | Overs 32 | Darren Bravo 34*, Dwayne Bravo 18*

Ashwin further stifles the West Indies by giving away only two runs from his seventh over. This partnership is now worth 29 runs.

West Indies 136/4 | Overs 31 | Darren Bravo 33*, Dwayne Bravo 17*

Dhoni feels Kohli needs a few more overs and throws him the ball. The batsmen try to take advantage, but some good fielding only allows for only seven runs from that over. Dwayne Bravo pulls the last ball over mid-wicket for a four.

West Indies 129/4 | Overs 30 | Darren Bravo 32*, Dwayne Bravo 11*

Ashwin bowls yet another tight over as only one runs comes off it. The run-rate is just under four-and-a-half runs an over.

West Indies 128/4 | Overs 29 | Darren Bravo 31*, Dwayne Bravo 11*

Yadav continues and the first ball of the over is worked away to the fine-leg region for a four by Dwayne Bravo. He then plays a straight drive towards long-on for another four. At this rate Dwayne will easily overtake Darren in the scoring.

West Indies 120/4 | Overs 28 | Darren Bravo 31*, Dwayne Bravo 3*

Ashwin replaces Jadeja to bowl his fifth over. He bowls a very tidy over as it is a maiden. Darren Bravo faced all the balls in that over. Make that 72 deliveries for his 31.

West Indies 120/4 | Overs 27 | Darren Bravo 31*, Dwayne Bravo 3*

Umesh comes back into the attack to bowl his fourth over. The wicket of Charles earlier seems to have worked in Umesh's favour as he gives away only two runs from the over. Darren Bravo has faced 66 deliveries for his 31.

West Indies 118/4 | Overs 26 | Darren Bravo 30*, Dwayne Bravo 2*

After three back-to-back overs with a wicket each, Jadeja bowls a wicket-less over. Only four singles off the over as West Indies try to rebuild the innings.

West Indies 114/4 | Overs 25 | Darren Bravo 28*, Dwayne Bravo 0*

Wickets at the other end seem to have spurred Ishant, as he bowls a lively over with pace and bounce. Darren Bravo tries pulling, but top-edges it over Dhoni for a four.

West Indies 109/4 | Overs 24 | Darren Bravo 21*, Dwayne Bravo 0*, OUT! Ramnaresh Sarwan 1

Jadeja strikes again as Sarwan has to depart. Sarwan edges a loose delivery down the leg side and Dhoni takes a sharp catch. West Indies reeling now. West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo walks in.

West Indies 106/3 | Overs 23 | Darren Bravo 21*Ramnaresh Sarwan 0*

Ishant bowls his fourth over and he continues from where he left off. Just one run from the over as Bravo takes a single on the fourth ball. Pressure mounting on Bravo and the West Indies.

West Indies 105/3 | Overs 22 | Darren Bravo 20*Ramnaresh Sarwan 0*OUT! Marlon Samuels 1

Jadeja continues as he bowls his third over. Darren Bravo is really struggling as plays out four dot deliveries before taking a single off the fifth ball. Samuels blocks the last ball, but there is an appeal for leg before. The umpire says not out, but it is referred to the third umpire and he overturns the decision and Samuels has to go. Jadeja strikes again.

West Indies 104/2 | Overs 21 | Darren Bravo 19*Marlon Samuels 1*

Dhoni brings back Ishant for his second spell. Very tight over from the seamer as he bowls a maiden. The pressure building on the West Indies batsmen.

West Indies 104/2 | Overs 20 | Darren Bravo 19*Marlon Samuels 1*, OUT! Charles 60

Jadeja continues from round the wicket. He bowls a straight one quicker through the air and it strikes Charles on the pads. Big appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Charles has to depart for a brilliant 55-ball 60. Charles struck seven fours and two sixes. The partnership was worth 78 runs.

West Indies 102/1 | Overs 19 | Charles 60*, Darren Bravo 18*

Ashwin replaces Kohli and Charles top-edges one over Ishant at short third-man, but there are overthrows and four runs come off it. Then Charles heaves one over mid-wicket for a six.

West Indies 92/1 | Overs 18 | Charles 50*, Darren Bravo 18*

Ravindra Jadeja comes in to the attack. Very tight over from the left-arm spinner as he bowls a maiden. Bravo seems to be struggling at the moment.

West Indies 92/1 | Overs 17 | Charles 50*, Darren Bravo 18*

Kohli continues his third over and Charles hits an inside-out shot over the covers for a six. He then brings about his first ODI half-century with a single towards long-on. Expensive over from Kohli as nine runs come off it. Partnership now worth 67 runs. Charles has two centuries in ODIs, but this is his first half-century. Seems like he converts his fifties to hundreds. Drinks break taken.

West Indies 83/1 | Overs 16 | Charles 43*, Darren Bravo 16*

Very tidy over from Ashwin. Hardly gives any scoring opportunity away and only three singles come off the over. The scoring rate has slightly come down in the last few overs. The slower bowlers are pulling things back.

West Indies 80/1 | Overs 15 | Charles 42*, Darren Bravo 14*

Dhoni persists with Kohli. Charles sweeps one through the leg side behind the wicket for a four. Kohli gives away five runs off the over.

West Indies 75/1 | Overs 14 | Charles 38*, Darren Bravo 13*

Ashwin continues and on the third ball Charles glances one to fine-leg and runs two to take their partnership to 50 runs. Charles has scored 35 runs in the partnership.

West Indies 72/1 | Overs 13 | Charles 36*, Darren Bravo 12*

MS Dhoni throws the ball to Virat Kohli as he replaces Bhuvneshwar. The ploy almost works as the fourth ball strikes the pad, but the ball is drifting down the leg side. Kohli only gives away five runs in the over.

West Indies 67/1 | Overs 12 | Charles 33*, Darren Bravo 10*

Ashwin comes into bowl his off-spin. Charles tries to pull a short delivery but top edges it and it just evades the out-stretched hands of the diving Ashwin.

West Indies 63/1 | Overs 11 | Charles 31*Darren Bravo 8*

Charles looks to have taken the onus of scoring on him as he drives the third delivery of Bhuvneshwar's over through the covers, but the ball is signalled a dead ball, so, the runs will not count. The next ball goes over the slips for a four after an edge. The run-rate is eding towards six an over.

West Indies 55/1 | Overs 10 | Charles 26*Darren Bravo 7*

Charles continues from the previous over as he hits a lofted straight drive off Umesh for a four. The next ball is on the pads and he turns it away to fine-leg for another four. He repeats the shot again and gets yet another four. Umesh proving to be expensive as he gives away 13 runs in the over.

West Indies 42/1 | Overs 9 | Charles 14*Darren Bravo 6*

Bhuvneshwar continues as he bowls his fifth over on the trot. Charles heaves a straight delivery around good length over mid-wicket for a four. He repeats the same shot and gets the same reward the very next delivery.

West Indies 33/1 | Overs 8 | Charles 6*Darren Bravo 5*

Umesh comes back into the attack and Bravo drives the third ball towards the covers, but Virat Kohli stops a certain boundary. Both Charles and Bravo add one run each to their innings in the over.

West Indies 31/1 | Overs 7 | Charles 5*Darren Bravo 4*

Darren Bravo gets off the mark on the third ball of the over. Bhuvneshwar bowls on his pads and Bravo strokes it away towards mid-on for a four.

West Indies 26/1 | Overs 6 | Charles 4*Darren Bravo 0*

Tidy over from Ishant after the fall of Gayle's wicket in the previous over. He gives away only one run. New man in, Darren Bravo, is yet to open his account.

West Indies 25/1 | Overs 5 | Charles 3*Darren Bravo 0*OUT! Gayle 21

Gayle does not spare Bhuvneshwar as he punches a straight delivery over his head for another four on the fourth ball. But Bhuvneshwar has the last laugh as he bowls a back-of-a-length delivery to Gayle, who tries to cut but there was no room, and edges it to Ravichandran Ashwin at first slip.

West Indies 18/0 | Overs 4 | Gayle 15*, Charles 2*

Ishant continues and on the third ball of the over there is a half-hearted appeal for leg-before against Charles, but the ball was going down the leg side. Then on the last ball of the over, Gayle smashes straight down the ground for a four towards long-off.

West Indies 13/0 | Overs 3 | Gayle 11*, Charles 1*

Another good over by Bhuvneshwar. Johnson Charles gets off the mark.

West Indies 12/0 | Overs 2 | Gayle 11*, Charles 0*

Umesh Yadav errs in length and Gayle puts him away for two fours through the leg-side. It all looked to easy. Not the ideal first over as there was a wide as well

West Indies 1/0 | Overs 1 | Gayle 1*, Charles 0*

A good first over by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Only the single comes off it as Chris Gayle gets off the mark.
