Champions Trophy 2013 Squads

Champions Trophy 2013 is all scheduled to commence from June 06, 2013. A one-of-its-kind tournament, international teams of different cricketing nations clash to become the number one T-20 side in the world. Just like the previous three editions of the tournament, this year is also expected to be full of excitement, entertainment and thrill for the viewers. Champions Trophy 2011 winners West Indies are the hot favorites this time too, thanks to their explosive batting line-up and dangerous bowling attack. With players like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine who have dominated the IPL 6 tournament in India, the side looks unbeatable.

However, India and Pakistan, who have won the other two editions of the tournament in 2007 and 2009, respectively, cannot be ruled out from the run. Young talent Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli have proven themselves at the international stage; captain MS Dhoni is, undoubtedly, among the most explosive batsmen in the world today, and Suresh Raina has been India's Mr. Consistent when it comes to T20; altogether making it a powerful batting line-up. But India's bowling attack is pretty inexperienced that can cost heavily to them. On the other hand, Pakistan could yet again prove to be a dangerous opponent for others if their team work strikes.

The key for South Africa lies in their new captain AB De Villiers and experience of Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn. For New Zealand, the same is valid for captain Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and Daniel Vettori that are their key players.

While Australia hasn't really won any major T-20 tournament, we've seen what they can do in limited over format and are always a strong opponent to face. Captain Clarke, Warner and Watson are the key. Sri Lanka hasn't had their luck in the recent past despite having experience of Sangakkara, Jayawardena and Malinga in the team. If they strike, they can beat any opponent on a given day. And the same applies for England, having talented players like Cook, Anderson, Bell, Swann and Trott. All teams are more or less even-steven as of now and it will be interesting to see who comes out on the top as winners.
